Content Management System (CMS)
Allows you to add pages with automatic menu generation, add new content, add files, and generally manage content.
CMS is a "front line" task so the tools need to be well developed and easy to use. |
 |
The Content Management System is the key to your control of your website.
It may look a bit daunting at first but all tasks break down into smaller ones and, like many procedures, after you have done it you will gain confidence and see just how easy it all is. |
Operational Note:
A CMS moves costs. If you previously had your website company add new content this cost will move to you in terms of staff time.
Please see |
This image shows the DNN Control Panel. You see this anytime you login as a full administrator.
The control panel allows you to select from a range of CMS tasks. |
 |
As you can see the CP is divide into 3 sections, Pages, Modules & Common Tasks.
You can shrink the CP out of your way and also put the website into 3 view modes.
View - as a user sees
Edit - the page is fully exposed and all features are ready to edit
Design - A rarely used view to hide all content.
